Die öffentliche Ringvorlesung zum Thema Digitalisierung widmet sich in diesem Jahr speziell dem Thema der digitalen Nachhaltigkeit.

In this talk we revisit the research on computational sustainability done in the past 15 years. In the first part of this talk we will discuss the concepts of sustainable IT. In particular, we will discuss novel approaches for sustainable fault tolerance and trustworthy geographically distributed AI applications utilized on systems ranging from the size of a smartphone to a warehouse scale data center. In the second part of the talk we will present several use cases where IT can be utilized to combat climate change and help us to develop a more sustainable world.

Das Department Informatik der CIT School der TU München veranstaltet in Zusammenarbeit mit dem bidt und der Fakultät für Informatik der TU Wien eine öffentliche Ringvorlesung zum Thema Digitalisierung. In diesem Jahr wird das Thema der digitalen Nachhaltigkeit aus der Perspektive unterschiedlicher Disziplinen betrachtet, um so ein übergreifendes und interdisziplinäres Verständnis der Materie zu erzielen.
