Marina Jirotka is Professor of Human Centred Computing in the Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford. Her key interest is in bringing a richer comprehension of socially organised work practices and interaction into the process of engineering technological systems. She has been at the forefront of recent work covering Responsible Innovation in the UK and European Union. She leads an interdisciplinary research group which is investigating the development of technologies that respond more closely to societal acceptability and desirability. She has recently been awarded a prestigious EPSRC Established Career Fellowship – an investigation into Developing Responsible Robotics for the Digital Economy.
