Amelie Erben (M.Sc.) studied Mechanical Engineering with a strong focus on Medical Engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Within the scope of her joint PhD at the Center for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (University of Applied Sciences Munich) and the Faculty for Biomedical Electronics (TUM), she is currently investigating 3D bioprinting of high-resolution lung tissue. Recently she published a paper titled ‘Precision 3D‐Printed Cell Scaffolds Mimicking Native Tissue Composition and Mechanics’ in the Journal of Advanced Healthcare Materials (doi.org/10.1002/adhm.202070087).

She is also a fellow of the bidt and BayWISS Joint Academic Partnership Efficiency and Materials.
