Kurzbeschreibung des Promotionsvorhabens

My research aims to enhance software accessibility for individuals with disabilities by applying advanced artificial intelligence techniques. Current testing approaches often overlook issues that hinder usability for people with visual, motor, or cognitive impairments. The project leverages large language models to simulate how users with various disabilities interact with digital interfaces. By comparing these simulated interactions to those of typical users, the system can autonomously identify accessibility barriers—such as poor keyboard navigation or unclear screen reader output. This approach offers a cost-effective, scalable solution for developers to detect and address accessibility issues early. Ultimately, the research promotes more inclusive digital environments and supports equal access to technology for all users, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities.
