Jan Gogoll ist wissenschaftlicher Referent in der Abteilung Forschung am bidt. Seine Schwerpunkte sind Verhaltensökonomie und Ethik. Zuvor war er an der TU München am Lehrstuhl für Wirtschaftsethik und Teil der Nachwuchsforschungsgruppe „Ethik der Digitalisierung“. Er arbeitet an Themen wie dem autonomen Fahren, ethischer Softwareentwicklung, Spieltheorie und Experimente.
